It is biscuit week this week in our online kitchens! As fans of the classic GBBO will know, this challenge is for the bakers to show off their skills and talent. This is the ultimate Christmas edition with our Gingerbread House challenge! The aim is to create a showstopper that is both of a professional appearance but is also outstanding in taste.
In this exciting 2 hour virtual Christmas event we will uncover the star bakers of the group and those that will want to avoid a ‘Soggy Bottom’. Teams will be tasked with cutting, baking and assembling their Gingerbread House using the gingerbread dough mix sent to participants on the day of the activity. It is now up to the teams to start the building process….
Gingerbread House Build
The challenge is to design and build a showstopper Gingerbread house. The process will draw upon your creativity including assembling intricate details that will give your ‘biscuity’ creation its identity. Our professional chef will guide your teams through the baking process using your easy to make baking mix delivered to your door. Teams will also use a selection of various ingredients and decorations which will be found in their baking box sent to them.
Teams will be put to the test to carefully create their masterpiece throughout the building and decorating process. Will you be able to ensure a high quality professional finish that Mary Berry would be proud of.
Edible Decorations
What better way to decorate your Christmas tree than with your very own bespoke edible decorations? Join us in our ‘virtual kitchens’ and learn to bake some delicious treats for your tree (if they make it to the tree!). Get the whole family involved and design and decorate your gingerbread masterpieces. Guests will be sent a tracked baking parcel full of everything you need to bake and design the biscuits including a selection of festive cutters. Our professional chef will then help your team step by step during a fully managed video call.
We will ensure you have a hole at the top of the gingerbread decoration to add some string to the design. These special treats can also be used as completely unique gift for family and friends.
